10 years????!!!!

So today I realized that my 10 year high school reunion is going on this Saturday. I knew about it previously but apparently i just kinda blocked it out...and for many reasons. However in the same fashion I also wish I were back home and were going. It would be so wonderful to see all of my friends again. You know, get to learn what they've been up to, see pics of their kids, hear about their lives... However it would probably just depress me more once I had to get back on a plane and go back to Vegas. (no...i would be happy to go back to my family in Vegas...i would just prefer to pack all our shit up in a uhaul and move us all back home to Ohio.) But seriously? I graduated high school ten years ago? Sure some of the flashbacks could lead me into cold sweat nightmares (what person couldn't say that?), but for the most part it was enjoyable. Maybe its just the freedom and adventure I miss. I'm just having a complete FAIL moment here. Wasn't I supposed to be rich and famous in ten years? I'm trying to think back to my "ten year plan" when I was 18....oh wait! My only plan was "what am I wearing out tonight??" LOL! So, GlenOak High School, class of 1999, enjoy the reunion!!! Denny-Lee will be with you in spirit (and I will probably be drinking a redbull and vodka in my lazyboy, thankful i am not wearing a name tag).

Also another monumental note : ) Today is my husband and I's four year anniversary. Good lord where does the time go????? Geeze it seems to be the thought on my mind tonight.

till later : )

boy down on the playground!

So today while I was at work my husband decided to take our son to the park. Apparently he had a very good time, was running around and playing with all the other kids until.... *SMACK*... head on collision with another little boy. Now when I say little boy keep in mind this boy had at least a year possibly two on mine. The hubs said he was prepared for the crying, but instead our son was just fine, and it was the other boy who was crying. and now prepare yourself for my kids reaction. He held out his hand, helped the boy up and said "Brush it off. Be a big boy." and then went on his merry way playing LOL! I have absolutely no idea where that came from. Sure he's a rough-n-tumble kind of kid, but for me that is just hysterical. I am sooo enrolling my son in sports if he's game for it lol!

first time around

So I've decided to give in and try out the whole blog world. I read tons of other peoples blogs. Just never got into the idea myself. Granted Ive always written everything down in a journal (not daily, just when the mood strikes) so I figured what would be the difference, aside from saving money on journals : ). Don't know if anyone will read what I write in the posts to follow. I have no intention of using this to whine on (rant yes, whine no LOL!) But feel free to follow along for the ride. Here's hoping this will be a fun new adventure! And there you have it...
